Amorgos is the easternmost island of the Cyclades in the Aegean Sea, in Greece. Located 136 nautical miles from Piraeus. It features two natural ports, Katapola at its centre and Aigiali at the North of the island.

Chora, the capital of the island, has a traditional insular architecture with beautiful villages of white houses, ancient castles, medieval castle, churches, narrow streets and a great view to the endless blue of Aegean sea.

The island of Amorgos has to present a rich cultural history and folklore, with many monuments and settlements testify to the remarkable growth both in antiquity and in modern course. At the same time, remarkable customs have their roots deep in time and maintain the tradition of the place.

The main attractions of the island is the monastery of Panagia Chozoviotissa-the protector of the island, the church of Saint George the Valsamitis functioned as Hydromancy because of the spring in which Holy Water was gushing, Macedonian fortress (tower), the Archaeological Museum and the Archaeological place of Minoa.

The natural beauty of Amorgo island is an attraction for hikers. Traditional mule paths, some dating from Classical times, criss-cross the island and open up unexpected views of the magnificent landscape. They lead to lonely beaches, remote mountain scenery, secret valleys and many unspoiled hamlets.The old monasteries give guests the opportunity to enjoy the scenic beauty, the herbs with their healing properties and the impressive wild flowers of the island.

Amorgos has many beautiful beaches to satisfy even the most demanding visitor. Other are sandy, pebble others, but all have crystal clear water that you can not resist their charm.

The idyllic beaches of the island are :

Aegiali, Levrosos, Mikri Vlyxada, Agios Pavlos, Agia Anna, Mouros, Ammoudi, Kato Campos, Paradisia, Kalotaritissa, Foinikies, Katapola, Agios Panteleimonas, Maltezi, Chalara and Sparti.
