Santorini is located in the southern Aegean Sea, south of Ios and west of Anafi island, in Greece. The island belongs to the southern Aegean volcanic arc. The island's distance from Piraeus port is 128 nautical miles. The port is at Athinios.

Chora (Fira or Thira), the capital of the island, is characterized by the authentic island architecture. It is built an impressive physical location on top of the rocks along the caldera, with white houses that have domes-arches and many small windows with beautiful bougainvillea that thrive in courtyards, cobbled streets, the blue domed churches and the wonderful view to the endless blue of Aegean sea.

The island of Santorini has to present a rich cultural history and folklore, with many monuments and settlements testify to the remarkable growth both in antiquity and in modern course. At the same time, remarkable customs have their roots deep in time and maintain the tradition of the place.
