Tinos

Tinos is the fourth largest island of the Cyclades, in Greece after Naxos, Andros and Paros. The island's distance from Piraeus port is 82 nautical miles and distance from Rafinasport is 60 nautical miles. The port is at Chora.

Chora, the capital of the island, characterized for its architecture, with neoclassical white houses with beautiful bougainvillea that thrive in courtyards, cobbled streets, churches, the magnificent church of Panagia Megalocharis and the wonderful view to the endless blue of Aegean sea.

The island of Tinos has to present a rich cultural history and folklore, with many monuments and settlements testify to the remarkable growth both in antiquity and in modern course. At the same time, remarkable customs have their roots deep in time and maintain the tradition of the place.

The natural beauty of Tinos island is an attraction for hikers. Traditional mule paths, some dating from Classical times, criss-cross the island and open up unexpected views of the magnificent landscape. They lead to lonely beaches, remote mountain scenery, secret valleys and many unspoiled hamlets.
