Koufonisia include two main islands, the Pano (Upper) Koufonisi and the Kato (Lower) Koufonisi. They are located on the southeast side of Naxos and on the west side of Amorgos and belong to the complex ofSmall East Cyclades.They are separated by a channel of 200m width.
